Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Gymkee

Talk to Dwayne from Claude or ChatGPT. The plans you need, the steps one by one, and what to do when it gets stuck.

On this page

You can talk to Dwayne straight from Claude or ChatGPT. Ask your question in the AI you already use, Dwayne does the work in Gymkee, and your AI shows you his answer. Your permissions, your Dwayne credits and your privacy rules stay exactly the same as in Gymkee. New to Dwayne? Start with Meet Dwayne, your AI coaching copilot.

What you need first

  • A Gymkee coach account with access to Dwayne and Dwayne credits left.
  • For Claude: every Claude plan works. The free plan lets you add 1 custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, the organization Owner adds Gymkee first in Organization settings → Connectors, then each member connects it for themselves.
  • For ChatGPT: a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu), on chatgpt.com in a browser. Developer mode isn't available on the free plan or in ChatGPT on mobile. On Business, Enterprise or Edu, a workspace admin has to allow Developer mode first.
  • The Gymkee address to paste into your AI: https://mcp.gymkee.com/v2/mcp. You'll also find it in Gymkee under Services & integrations → Integrations, by clicking Set up Claude or Set up ChatGPT.

Connect Claude to Gymkee

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Gymkee, paste the Gymkee address and click Add.
  4. Click Connect next to Gymkee.
  5. A Gymkee window opens. Sign in with your Gymkee email and password, pick your workspace, accept the Dwayne terms and click Connect Claude.

That's it. In a chat, you turn Gymkee on or off with the + button at the bottom left, then Connectors.

Connect ChatGPT to Gymkee

  1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings and turn on Developer mode (under Security and login).
  2. Open Plugins, click + then Create MCP app.
  3. Name it Gymkee, paste the Gymkee address, pick OAuth for authentication, then click Create.
  4. A Gymkee window opens. Sign in with your Gymkee email and password, pick your workspace, accept the Dwayne terms and click Connect ChatGPT.
  5. In a chat, click +, choose Developer mode and turn on Gymkee.

On an older version of ChatGPT, Developer mode sits in Settings → Apps → Advanced settings, and you create Gymkee in Apps → Create.

Add the line that sends your questions to Dwayne

Your AI decides on its own when to call Gymkee. To make it think of Dwayne whenever you mention your clients, add this line to its instructions:

For anything about my clients or my coaching, use Gymkee.

  • In Claude: click your initials at the bottom left, then Settings, and paste the line under Instructions for Claude.
  • In ChatGPT: open Settings → Personalization, check that Enable customization is on, and paste the line into Custom instructions.

What you can ask Dwayne

Talk to him the way you would inside Gymkee. A few to get you going:

  • "Which clients skipped their workout this week?"
  • "Draft Luna's training week, 3 workouts, upper body."
  • "Summarize Marc's last assessment."
  • "Which clients are reaching the end of their program?"

Dwayne shows you what he's preparing before he acts. Nothing is sent to or assigned to a client until you confirm. Every request uses your Dwayne credits, exactly like in Gymkee: with no credits left, no new task starts.

Your data and your clients' data

  • Dwayne works inside Gymkee, with the permissions of your role in the workspace. Claude or ChatGPT only get the answers your request needs.
  • Your clients' consent doesn't change. Their health data, measurements and notes still need their consent, just like in Gymkee. Without it, Dwayne doesn't share them.
  • Claude's or ChatGPT's own rules apply to the answers they receive. Disconnecting Gymkee stops all future access, but it doesn't erase answers your AI already showed.

Not working?

Gymkee won't accept my password

The sign-in window asks for your Gymkee email and password, not your Claude or ChatGPT ones. If you can't remember it, reset it here: Forgot your password?. If you usually sign in to Gymkee with a link sent by email, set a password through that same page, then go back to the sign-in window.

I can't find Developer mode in ChatGPT

You need a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu) and chatgpt.com open in a desktop browser. On a company account, ask your admin to allow it for you.

Gymkee is connected but Dwayne never answers

  • Add the instruction line shown above.
  • In ChatGPT, turn Gymkee on in the chat: + → Developer mode.
  • In Claude, check that Gymkee is on: + → Connectors.
  • Name Gymkee in your request, for example: "Using Gymkee, tell me which clients skipped their workout this week."

I'm on a team account

On Claude Team or Enterprise, the organization Owner adds Gymkee first in Organization settings → Connectors. On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu, an admin allows Developer mode first. On the Gymkee side, every coach signs in with their own account, and Dwayne follows each person's role in the workspace.

I want to disconnect Gymkee

  • In Gymkee: open Services & integrations → Integrations, click Manage on the Claude or ChatGPT card, then Revoke. An admin or head coach can also click Disconnect all.
  • In Claude: open Customize → Connectors and remove Gymkee with Remove or the three-dot menu.
  • In ChatGPT: open Settings > Plugins, select Gymkee and disconnect it.

What about Gemini?

Gemini isn't compatible yet, we're working on it.

Codex and other AI apps

In Codex, run these two commands in your terminal:

codex mcp add gymkee --url 'https://mcp.gymkee.com/v2/mcp'
codex mcp login gymkee

A Gymkee window opens: sign in with your Gymkee account and pick your workspace.

Using another AI app that accepts connectors? Add a connector with the same Gymkee address and sign in with your Gymkee account. For the technical folks: it's a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP, with OAuth 2.1 sign-in.
